Hi, I’m Dan, the founder of CarryCast™, and I’m excited to share my passion for fishing and the outdoors with you!

Fishing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From quiet mornings casting lines with my Dad, to long afternoons on the lake with friends where time just faded away — it’s always been my escape. As I’ve grown older, fishing has become more than a hobby; it’s my way to slow down, unwind, and reconnect with nature — something the world could use a little more of these days. 

I live in Fernie, British Columbia. Surrounded by stunning rivers, lakes, and endless outdoor beauty. But as much as I loved fishing, I struggled to find gear that could keep up with my adventurous lifestyle. Hiking, camping, and road trips are a regular part of life here, and I always wanted to bring my fishing rod along, but it wasn’t always practical.

That’s when I started looking for compact, travel-friendly fishing gear. I was frustrated that there wasn’t anything truly portable and performance-driven. So, I set out to provide something that combined both: Gear you can easily take on the go without sacrificing quality or performance.

At CarryCast™, my goal is to help you slow down and experience nature as much as possible. Whether you’re hiking to a hidden fishing spot, camping by a quiet lake, or road-tripping to your next adventure. We live in a fast-paced world, but fishing has a way of reminding us to slow down, appreciate the moment, and reconnect with what truly matters.

I believe fishing is more than just a sport. It’s a way to get outside, enjoy the beauty of the world around us, and spend time with those we love. I hope our gear helps you do just that, and I can’t wait to be a part of your next outdoor adventure!
